The History of Printing in a Glance
The long professional trajectory of the Alzamora Group and the ideals of Pere Alzamora i Carbonell over its years of existence have led to a collection of printing machinery which is unique in Catalonia, with exhibits dating back to the 17th century.

The museum occupies a large hall in the modern plant of Alzamora Packaging in Sant Joan les Fonts.

One of the special exhibits in the collection is this 17th century wooden printing press, which is similar to the one used by Gutenberg.
Another printing press. A cast machine made by the Columbian company and manufactured in 1837. Patented by the North-American George Climen in 1817.
The museum also has several collections of hand and machine-carved wooden letter block characters which date from the early 20th century.
A notable example is this flat Winkler printing machine, with a 84x123 cm cm printing format. This exhibit was made in Switzerland in 1924.
A small area in the museum used for binding with a unique collection of friezes and rosettes which where used to manually decorate books.
